  Tamaulipas

From the year 1748 which is when the colonizers established the first colonies in the territory of New Santander (presently the state of Tamaulipas), 218 governors have contributed to create the character of this state which is now known as a land of progress where men and women of profound values and firm convictions live.

With this as a backdrop, Eugenio Javier Hernandez, who has a degree in engineering, became the 219th governor in the political history of the state of Tamaulipas.

Eugenio Hernandez is a man of principles. He belongs to a new generation of “Tamaulipecos” who believes in the political process, in honesty and in social justice.

He is a native of Ciudad Victoria who is convinced of the virtues of family and the important role families play in the strength of the state.

He was born in the capital of Tamaulipas on October 17, 1959. He is the forth child born to Eugenio Hernandez Balboa and Susana Flores Fernandez.
